As an aside, I think that what the testing companies should do is ban via the honor system people who have one or more parent/guardian who speaks the foreign language at home, and those who have lived in the foreign country for more than 6 months from taking the AP/SAT II foreign language exams.

The people who don't meet those requirements would take a different, much more difficult test with aimed towards native speakers (Just because you get a 5 on the AP hardly means you are completely fluent). That way, colleges could compare native speakers among fellow native speakers to make it fair for those learning in school.

AP Sabermetrics
required reading: Moneyball, Bill James Baseball Abstracts and the 2006 Handbook.
Actually some schools have Sabermetrics 101 and I am envious :)

Does it really matter what they do???? I mean whether they ban those ppl or not, how is that gonna affect your score? It isn't so why worry about it

Sure, these courses might be nice, but what would their real purpose be. As it is, there are already so many AP courses being taught by so many teachers. As a result, tons of kids are getting "watered down" information, but still managing to do well on the AP exams due to the ridiculously large scale arising from the plethora of students who still don't know what they are doing in their 5 AP classes. Just what American schools need.. more AP classes. It would benefit some, but chances are it would let a lot of kids skip out on intro classes in college, when in fact, they have no idea what they are doing. Sounds like a great way to start first semester...
