New book on campus culture today

"Binge". Author spends time at a good sample of schools around the US plus McGill. Non-preachy account of what's going on coast to coast.

sounds like a well researched book- I don't have anymore room on my bookshelves though- have to wait for the library

Thanks for the into barrons, I think I will order it since my S's school is in there,( Pomona(. Has anyone else read it, any comments.

Bought it Sunday, just finished last evening.

It should be required reading for any parent who posts here. I just can't decide whether I want to give it to my daughter to read. I get to a part and say to myself, "She really should read this before starting school." Then in the next section say, "Don't let her see this and go there with negative ideas in her head."

I guess in the end it doesn't really matter, she'll see it all and a lot more directly than I will.
