Somewhat interesting. How did you generate that map? Why did you pick those areas (for ex, a lot of students live off of Hamilton St, why didn’t you include that?)

New Brunswick is a big city and things can happen if you do not take typical city precautions (eg lock your doors, don’t keep valuables in car, don’t be walking around at 2am alone). Some of my friends’ children have lived off-campus and not had any problems, but I have felt more comfortable having my son live on campus.

My general rule when my son was considering living off-campus was that he stay as close to College Ave as possible.

Rutgers campus police will send out ‘crime alerts’ when they have been notified of incidents involving students at Rutgers. Read these and take appropriate precautions.
