New Deal Policies

There's just so many...! Which ones would you recommend to know for the APUSH test? Or is there some kind of secret pattern to them that lets you memorize them all :D

I don't remember there being anything that specific. I'd only study the major ones if you're going to dive into the new deal stuff.

soc. security is the main new deal policy, i wouldnt think you have to specifically know all the committees and other acts set up by FDR.

all i can think that is kind of important is the WPA and the CCC... maybe the TVA??
i don't think you will need to know them though, unless one of the essay questions is on the new deal

well the AAA and the WPA i think were ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court...that might be an important point to note

It was the AAA and the NRA that were ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court years later. the AAA because the gov't paid farmers to NOT grow certain crops so that prices would increase...i forget why the NRA was ruled unconstitutional.

But yeah, i think that the AP American is gonna be A LOT easier than the exams we have in school..because it will be much less specific than the topic-tests we have in the class.

Any other opinions?

CCC, TVA, WPA, Social Security would be the big ones. Also know that the NRA was ruled unconstitutional.

Thanks everyone, it seems like there is a pretty good concensus about which policies are important to know

FDR, first and second new deals
