<p>If you haven’t heard, Shenandoah Conservatory has added several exciting new faculty for the acting and musical theatre departments.</p>
<p>J.J. Ruscella is the new head of the theatre department. J.J. holds his MFA from Rutgers and has been active as a writer, director, and actor both on the stage and on the screen. He was previously a faculty member at University of Central Florida and a movie studio executive in the Orlando area. His novel “Kris” is available in book stores nationwide. In addition to his theatrical work, J.J. works as a contractor for the government, hospitals, business, and law firms as a simulation consultant.</p>
<p>Jason Kaufman completed his MFA at Harvard University spending extensive time at the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia. He has appeared on Dexter, Without a Trace, Medium, The Unit, CSI: Miami, Fantastic Four, and One Life to Live and in numerous theatre productions throughout the United States. Jason teaches acting for the camera, movement for the actor, and will also direct productions during the season.</p>
<p>Larry Silverberg is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre where he studied acting with the legendary Stanford Meisner. Silverberg is the author of the four book series “The Meisner Approach” published by Smith and Kraus. Other books include “True Acting Tips,” “Loving to Audition,” “The 7 Simple Truths of Acting for the Teen Actor,” and “Meisner for Teens: a life of true acting.” Considered one of the foremost authorities on Meisner’s work, Silverberg joins the faculty as a resident master teacher presenting several multi-day workshops each semester. </p>
<p>Bob Boross joins the dance faculty and will be teaching music theatre dance to the MT majors. Bob appeared in “Can, Can” on Broadway and has appeared regionally with Kansas Starlight Theatre, Monmouth Arts Center, Theatre-by-the-Lake, Red Bank Ballet, and at Lincoln Center. As a choreographer he has worked with Sierra Repertory Theatre, Claire Trevor Theatre, Barclay Theatre, Reprise! LA, and many others. He has taught around the world from Sweden to Russia to France, Italy, Finland, Mexico, and throughout the United States.</p>
