New Hampton School

Hi! So, I got accepted into NHS and I'm really excited, and, well, talking to some friends who go to boarding schools aswell, I realized that not many people know much about the greatness of this school, so I would like to share my thoughts on it!

The Classes:
I toured on December and it was exams week, what I saw was that people were really into working because looking inside the classrooms I could see that everyone was focused on their work. In the library people were quietly reading, and if they saw me, they would smile politely.

Something that I also liked about the classes was that the curriculum offered a lot of different studying options and that they even have things like Project Week!

The Faculty:
I thought that everyone was friendly and most faculty members with whom I crossed paths came to greet me and ask about my interests. The teacher who interviewed me was very enthusiastic which was really encouraging!

The facilities:
I thought that everything was pretty neat and the science labs were well equipped. I really liked the library and thought of it as a pleasant place to study. What I liked was that there was a lot of natural light in the classrooms and I believe that contributes to a healthy environment.

The Dorms:
My parents LOVED the dorms because they were all clean and tidy. Although most people were packing, the rooms were pretty tidy.

Additional Thoughts:
I think the tour should have included a walk to the stables! I love horses and felt sad that I didn't get to see them.

Overall I think that NHS is a great school and if anyone is struggling, deciding were to apply, I highly recommend this school, because wether you are interested in the arts, classes, or athletics, there is a place for you, and it's never too late because they have a rolling deadline!
