New here... chance me?

Just posted this in another thread, then realized I should probably have posted my own. Anyway… thanks in advance!

2400 SAT, one-time
800s in Math II and Physics
5 AP tests - Spanish, Chinese, Physics B, Chem, Calc BC - all 5s. Currently taking Bio and Physics C, and this weird econ thing (dual enrollment or something?) that could lead to the AP test

Main interests in math and physics

You didn’t give demographic info, but based off of just this, you have a decent shot.

You’re getting in for sure. I mean, it really would make no sense at all if they rejected you.

Unfortunately, it’s posts like this that demonstrate why “chance me” threads have such a bad reputation.

Search this site for a link to MITChris’ admissions blog where he talks about giving chances.

Your chances are probably at best 50/50 unless you have some hook - something MIT needs (female, urm, from Hawii). Looks like you could be competitive in tennis? Have you contacted the coach via email and introduced your self with your academic stats and tennis accolades? If so he might offer you support and it could make the difference because there are plenty of 2400sat kids who don’t get in (especially males from over represented states). Good luck!
