REALLY Hard to read…I think you will lose a lot of readers.
i usually hate change. but this is refreshing! not too keen on the red font color thoug.h.
I also do not like this new look. I hate to be harsh… but I think this forum is known and appreciated for its long and comprehensive posts. I am afraid that the new color scheme will discourage longer posts because people will not want to type nor read them on such a visually assaulting website.
I am also unconvinced that people will figure out how to change the background to the more visually soothing style. New visitors will not know how to change the color scheme and neither will current visitors, unless they read this thread. I would not underestimate internet users’ impulsiveness. If they don’t like the look of a site, they may just surf away. That would be a shame for the CC community.
I couldn’t find the section to change style options. I prefer the old look and would like to return to those settings.

Personally I love the new color scheme. It brightens it up so much! The blue was kinda getting me down.
Posted on a parent’s cafe site along with others who hate the change. There was no need to change to something substandard just for the sake of change- too hard to read (decipher) and horrible colors. PS- red works well as a color- see the UW Madison site.

I’m going to give the new style a few days, but I see myself changing to the old format pretty quickly I think (like others, I appreciate the option).
One suggestion I would make for this new format is to change the quote boxes so they are easier to distinguish from regular text. As it is, the color difference of a quote box is so slight that it is difficult to see easily and quickly. Perhaps a dark border around the box, or a dark background color with light text.
definitely not a huge fan of the change. prefer the older or something easier on the eyes.

For anyone else who couldn’t find the “Style Options.” It’s called “Forum Skin.”
I’m not adverse to change per se and, yes, the colors are bright and fresh but a light colored font on a light background is not easy to read.
