Looking for info on how many engineering students New Paltz has. The website doesn’t provide that kind of data compared to some bigger universities with more extensive programs. Any current or past New Paltz engineering students who might be able to answer this?
Send an email to the head of the department or the administrative assistant (she knows EVERYTHING and is totally awesome). Not sure I can or should post their names and emails on a semi-public forum, but I can tell you they would know for sure. It seems to be around 150 total at any given time and includes Computer, Mechanical and Electrical undergrads. I don’t know about the graduate program. My D is an undergrad CE and loves it! They are very supportive and because it’s a smaller department you get ALOT of personal attention. They are ABET accredited and the graduates have to pass the same PE exams as everyone else. The students seem to be well prepared and as far as my D knows are able to find good jobs. If you want something other than CE, EE, or ME though you’ll have to go someplace else as they don’t offer any others…
Thanks, that’s a great idea.
According to the College Navigator New Paltz awarded 10 computer engineering and 26 electrical engineering degrees last year. They also awarded 42 masters degrees in electrical engineering.
