D got a t-shirt from Park yesterday. The letter said that they send one to all accepted Park students, so that they can wear them and recognize other Parkies. What a great idea!

Really?
I hope I get one!!

I got mine! I'm wearing it right now. It's super comfy.

D wore hers today, too!

Sweet deal! I have yet to receive one, though.

I've been really impressed with the individualized care that Ithaca, the Park School, and Dean Lynch have given to the applicants. Kudos to them.

How serious are those here about going to Ithaca/Park?

Park is a great school but i worry about the internships in sports, because Ithaca and the sorounding area are not exactly a hot bed of sporting action.

I wouldn't be worried about internships in sport. Ithaca is very well connected in the sport industry, especially with communications outlets such as ESPN. Just because Ithaca isn't a very industrialized area doesn't mean that you can't get a good internship. And if for whatever reason you wanted to do an internship in Ithaca, there are opportunities at Cornell.

I loved Park for my D last year....she's at Newhouse now, but I felt that Park's program, especially LA program was amazing....

Yay. I got accepted too. I'm actually a transfer student, not a freshman. I've yet to receive the shirt, however.

I got my tshirt! And i agree, Im shocked at all the attention! The dean sent me an email, and I emailed her back, and she actually replied. Same with the journalism director. =)

Ya, Ithaca has been great with responding to a lot of its incoming freshmen from those that I've talked to. Very accommodating/accessible. I only wish they'd asked what size I was first, because the thing is a tent on me :P.
