New program puts undergrads on a fast track to law school

The 3+3 program allows select Trojans to complete their undergraduate and law school studies in a total of six years.

That seems like a forward-thinking approach to law school admissions, @ModernMan – thanks for posting. I see that applicants aren’t required to take the LSAT. That’s huge!

This isn’t as impressive as it sounds, unfortunately. Students in Europe can do a law degree and sit for the bar as undergraduates (no unnecessary poli sci / English degree plus a J.D. there) and some law schools are eliminating the third year, so 6 years to becoming a lawyer isn’t quite as fancy as we’d all like it to be.
