new sat (2016) vs old (pre 2015)

will the new sat grant inflated scores due to the fact that you are no longer penalized for wrong answers?

Im not an overachiever like most of you. i got a 1570 on the sat in 2014 and im fine with that. recently however i took a practice sat designed for the new sat and i did much much better. I got a 1230 equivalent to an 1850 out of 2400.

i dont know if this link will work for you but this is how i found out my practice score ivy.gl/19ly (if i didn’t know an answer i just guessed A)

My second question is, should i retake the sat while still in college? if i actually retook the sat and got ~1850 i could probably transfer to a much better school than where i am right now ( sac state)

You won’t be able to concord new SAT scores to old SAT scores until the official concordance tables come out in May or June. Until then, you can just be cautiously optimistic that you would score higher on the new SAT.
