New SAT vs. PR/Blue Book

How do the new SATs compare with the Blue Book (aka Official Study Guide by Collegeboard) and Princeton Review's book for the New SATI?

bump bump bump

of what ive heard the blue books is better than the rest and makes for really good test prep. though most people hav tol me the practice test in the blue book are on the easier side.but then sum people hav told me that the practices tests are exactly like the real thing. guess i am confusedl ike u!

Thanks for the link, LF61, but I'm really interested in how PR compares to the real test too, as well as how PR compares with CB (as in which one has better practice tests + prep stuff).

chillaxin, personally i thing the prep in cb is better. the W AND M in is bout the same as princeton but princeton's W is way tougher...

teh blue book is better..more accurate and less obscure questions. the only downside is that it doesnt have answer explanations

blue book CR is easier but Writing is harder than the real thing
Math can be a bit random sometimes
but overall i prefer the blue book over PRs

skywalker99~ hmm is that writing thing true for Kaplan as well? cause I did a bunch of WR practice problems from Kaplan. I just took the PSAT and the thought the Real WR Section was significantly easier, either that or they were so tricky that I didn't even know. In otherwords, I did either really well or really bad.

my personal experience.. college board math is bout the same.. writing is way tougher and cr is easier...

Do you agree at
real Cr harder/real M same/real W easier
?

yea.. thats definitely wat im sayin..

So would you say that the Blue Book is better for M and W and that PR is better for CR?

No, Blue Book is better for everything.

agree with Flipsta_G.

Does anyone have a comparison of scores from these books and the actual SAT? (i.e. Blue Book practice test: 80CR, 73M, 70W; PR: 77CR, 73M, 73W; October SAT: 73CR, 80M, 70W)

The blue book gives a massive range of scaled scores for each raw score, so its hard to compare.

CR is easier, especially for the passages.
