andork: ditto on that one! At this point I just want to know already.

I’m losing hope. Yes, my status finally changed from forwarded (since the beginning of February) to the “being reviewed” but I’m convinced that I’ve been rejected.
I know it’s not certain, but really. I’m not really good enough to get into USC. I knew that from the beginning.

Anyways! Enough of my moping. Good luck to the rest of you!

Oh yeah I’m totally underqualified for USC, at least stereotypically speaking.
But colleges like students who show promise.
And if you’re determined and show promise, you stand a chance.

Thanks faith101, but I’m not sure that USC sees my promise…

Will LA/So Cal area receive info by mail on Monday? UCS would have had to mail on Saturday, right? Anything sent on Friday would have been received on Saturday. It might be Tuesday before anything gets delivered to LA area. We are ‘forwarded’ to received…anxiously waiting to hear. I believe there are both acceptances, spring admits and rejections going out. I guess we will be waiting/stalking the mail man!!!

I really think USC should invest in an online notification system because waiting for the mail sucks.

Well hey, my dad tells me that if I don’t get in, then it’s their loss.
It’d suck not to, but that’s the reality of such a competitive university.
But there’s no point in getting discouraged or upset.
You did the application, did all that you can do, and it’s up to them to see the potential.
If not, then some other college will be lucky enough to be graced with your presence.
It’s hard to really “sell yourself” to a college, when as kids, we were (hopefully) raised to be humble and not boastful of the good deeds we do.
Yet when it comes time to apply for college, we’re supposed to brag about all the volunteer and activities we’ve done.
I think it takes away from the sincerity of it, since I know a tonnn of people who say “I’m only doing this so I can put it on my college application.”
I think that’s a bunch of bull. :-P
