New Student Convocation

I am an incoming upper-level transfer, and I was wondering if I really need to attend this ceremony. I know it's a part of the new seminole tradition and all, honestly, is it mandatory that I have to attend?

I know a lot of people who were freshmen in '09 and didn’t go. They didn’t have any problems, so I don’t see why you would.

If you don’t attend convocation, you will be dropped from all your core classes and contacted by the dean of admissions. JK, but no seriously no need to attend it’s not a big deal. I thankfully had my first FSU party the night before and woke up too late to attend :D

Go - it’s short, sweet and really neat.

You a big kid now an you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. So don’t go. But I agree it is not long, it is full of tradition, and you get a pin that you will not get anywhere else.

Well I know what to do now. Sleep in.

I’m going. I want to get my money’s worth at FSU.
