Alright, guys. I have some advice for you to stay safe on campus, and here it is:
1. At night, avoid going north of Springfield Avenue and west of 4th Street. I discovered during the CRIME-ALERT (capitalized because that's how they're titled) e-mails that almost all crimes occur outside of those street parameters.
2. If you go out after 10pm, DO NOT go out by yourself. If you do, make sure you stay in lighted areas with traffic and/or people around you. You can also call Safe Rides, which is a service that transports students from anywhere on campus to their residences after a certain time (I think 9pm). Students get robbed and beat up. Sometimes in the CRIME-ALERT e-mails the offender randomly (seemed like it to me, since there was no motive or end goal) punched a victim once in the face and ran away.

thanks for the tips I will be sure to avoid!
