<p>My son is a high school Jr, and is interested in pursuing a film degree. We have started perusing the web for some ideas and guidance. He would very much like to be in a large city on a campus with an urban feel. We are planning a trip to the East Coast in the Spring to visit Emerson, NYU, School of Visual Arts (NYC), Temple, and Drexel. If anyone has any advice, tips for visiting, etc please let me know. This seems like a great website; glad I found it.</p>
<p>Lots of schools in the LA area including USC and UCLA, and esaier to get into, Chapman in Orange County.</p>
<p>I highly recommend UNCW in Wilmington, North Carolina. The city it is located in as tons of filming (Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill, A Walk to Remember, I Know What You Did Last Summer, etc.). The town has the largest sound stage east of Hollywood and provides a strong film/tv production program.</p>
<p>Boston University comes to mind.</p>
