One of our fellow College Confidential members pointed out conflicting transfer application deadline dates on the University of Rochester website.

The spring deadline for all Transfer Applicants is now **March 15th/B. This deadline should be met by any student hoping to take classes in the Fall Semester.

The fall deadline for all transfer applications will remain October 1st. This deadline should be met by any student hoping to to take classes in the Spring Semester.

I'll probably need to resurrect this thread in 6 months, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to mention it now.

There’s a mixup/confusion here, lol, unless you meant to say the deadline for transferring in the fall occurs in the spring and that the deadline for transferring in the spring occurs in the fall.

Anyway, I’m pretty bummed about the new deadline. I just decided I wanted to transfer (I had wanted to transfer schools during my freshman year but changed my mind, and now in my sophomore year I want to again), and now I only have 6 months to think of what to write for my essays :/

Also, does this mean my spring semester courses won’t count? Or is there a mid-year report? I was planning to take a heavy course load in economics at my school next semester since I plan on applying for econ. And I have a high SAT score and I want to send it (as a junior transfer) even though it’s not required: should I save the SAT-reporting fee instead, or will they consider it? It’s okay if you can’t answer these questions; they’re not specific to U of R so I don’t expect you to know.
