Hello I'm a 16 year old aspiring journalist. I have my own blog and will be getting an internship with my local newspaper. I want to double major in Journalism and English in college. Writing and reporting is my passion. My dream job is to be a Entertainment News Reporter as I love reporting and writing about celebrity news/gossip. I know that journalism is a hard field to get into but I love it and it brings me joy. I'm very determined to be successful. I was wondering would I be better off pursuring journalism in Los Angeles or New York City?

They’re both hubs of entertainment, so obviously they’re both good. If you want a great journalism degree, I hear University of Missouri actually has a very good journalism program. University of Maryland has a good one too, if you decide you want to do politics.

I’ll say this though: a lot of excellent journalists didn’t study journalism. Dana Priest, a very good Pulitzer-winning journalist for the Washington Post, got a degree in politics. Walter Cronkite, another very successful television journalist, never even finished college.
