<p>wait but the equation was -16t^2 + 5t + 105 . it asked for the number of seconds after it was 45 feet below initial point, so 105-45=60… so 60= -16t^2 + 5t +105 , then solve using quadratic formula. can someone explain how they did it?</p>

<p>@mathislife‌ 2.1 would be the correct answer for 45 feet but the question was asking 45 feet below the starting point, which was 105. Therefore the hight was 60. </p>
