How’s the reputation of NYU Engineering in the eyes of employers around NY, NJ?
The reputation of NYU Engineering has always been good. With the merger, it has gotten better. Better students, better professors, better rankings, better facilities, better everything. If you are talking about employers, I must point out that NYU Engineerings ROI is one of the best implying that employers do favor engineers from here. Plus it is a school part of a major private university, so the professors are awesome and you collaborate with them on projects.
hows the housing for freshman? is it mandatory we dorm in the brookklyn housing?
Do engineering students have to travel much between the main campus and the engineering building for classes? Where are intro science/math classes taken?
@Chris817 yes it is mandatory for brooklyn freshman to live in Brooklyn. However, I believe you can change your housing assignment later in the semester if you want to.
@monets No, you don’t have to travel much. Intro classes are also offered at Tandon where you can take them if you want to. This is done to minimize travel issues. However, NYU runs a free shuttle service that takes 15 minutes on an average to take you to Washington Square from Tandon.
