I'm an international student and I want to major in public relations and marketing.
I got into both of theses schools and I seriously have no idea what to choose ! I'm currently living in Paris so, as I enjoy living in big cities, Miami would be a better fit. I love the weather out there and the school appears to be great. But Newhouse is pretty amazing and the programs seem more interesting.. I hate the cold and the snow though.. I feel like I will regret it if I don't go to Syracuse.. HELP PLEASE

I have exactly the same dilemma, I applied to 9 universities and for the moment only su and univeristy of miami have answered. I’m from spain and majoring in premedicine, from what i’ve read miami has great weather but poor education. SU has more international recognition apparently. As for the college life, Su was known to be a party school but last few years there has been raids in bars and they have become more extric (still, im sure you can ways get around hahaja)
Syracuse town is quite boring but there always clubs, activities and things to do.
Miami, well is miami, people seem to be more fake (not in a bad way but mostly tan pretty posh girls) and for the city is fantastic.

Hoped I have helped, please let me know were you go at the end

Thank you for your answer ! I think I’m gonna say yes to syracuse… I feel like it would be a better choice considering the alumni, Newhouse…

smaestro, from whom are you getting your information about the education not being good at U of Miami? Go to collegeboard and do a comparison. U of Miami ranks higher .<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/compare-colleges http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/university-of-miami-1536 - US News & World Report ranked U of Miami #47 National Universities., Syracuse is ranked #62. They are both very good schools. It’s all about what your preferences are, but to say the education at Miami is not good is far from the truth. Good luck with your selection.
