<p>I think the party you said is probably the same party I mentioned.</p>
<p>Therefore, in my opinion,the result comes out no later than Dec 12th.</p>
<p>so basically our "countdown" ranges from 3-12 days... and if they make their decisions before the party, then 3-9 days (which makes absolute sense, thanks violaina)!</p>
<p>Well, maybe you're right, but I just wanted to share what they sent me. I have no idea if it's totally legit.</p>
<p>Though why does it matter if it's a Saturday? I'm sure at such a busy time of the year that there are always people in the adcom office doing extra work.</p>
<p>Not at all..I am also an ED applicant waiting for results desperately..I completely understand everything you are feeling because I am feeline the same things..</p>

<p>I believe what you say.You are the one that called the admission office and talked to them..I am just guessing and making an sensible conclusion from the information I know.</p>
<p>I think I am more desperate..I am an international applicant that live on the other side of the world..13 hours time difference with EST..Therefore,when you r working, I am mostly sleeping...lol^_^</p>
<p>Anyway, I don't really very worry about the result..Believe or not,I go to bed early everyday and can fall asleep very soon.In fact, not matter what happens, life has to continue...We have already done everything we can do,it is left to the admission offciers to make the final decision.</p>

<p>One day, I got a email from a Columbia alumi...He begins his letter with congratulations..........I was more tha surprised at that time..(really stupid-_-)....However,I found he said that congratulations to apply one of the best school in the world.....</p>
<p>I mean almost everyone is waiting desperately for the result..because we really hope to get in.</p>
<p>Question... can anyone from last year tell us if they were also told "December 15" as a sort of protocol thing? (since decisions were, in fact, received the 7th last year)</p>
<p>I called today too at around 3:30, and they said that they still haven't decided on a date yet. This means that the December 15th date is most likely a formality as others have said. The rep said, "It will definitely be out by mid-December, though you might get it a few days earlier. They really haven't decided on a date as of now." So yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed for this week or early next week!</p>

<p>Apparently Dec. 15th was also mentioned? So this gives us more evidence that the Dec. 15th date is just a formality. Last year they had the date decided by Nov 30th though, so I suppose we'll get it later this year, but most likely not as late as Dec. 15th.</p>

Although last year they did post on the prospective students page on December 1st (that monday) that decisions will be officially released december 6th (or something like that)</p>

<p>Hmm. according to Window's calendar Dec 1 was a Friday, and I think it was out on Dec 7 last year... and this year the date's still not out on Mon...</p>
