Next leg of the RENT tour callbacks!

My D knows several kids who are in final callbacks this week and early next, for the next leg of the tour. Some of the kids are new and some are former castmembers who are considering returning to life on the road! For those of you who like to send talented kids good wishes, please aim some at NYC for these kids. Life on tour is difficult but great experience and I wish all of them the best of luck!

My D’s one of them - so please send as many well wishes, including fingers and toes crossing, as well.

Best of luck to your D LynnM! I hope she gets it but if not, she has gone far and has also been seen by casting agents. Best wishes to her. The cows here in VT are “mooing” for her! :D

Thanks Soozie! How did you know she was up for Maureen? Was it her well endowed butt?

Oh Lynn, how exciting that she’s called back for Maureen! It does seem as though they’re casting very young with a few positions this time around (I’m thinking that your D has just finished her freshman year, if I’m wrong I apologize as it’s hard to keep everybody’s kids straight here!) which, in a way, surprises me because they did that on the last two legs of the tour and had some problems with the very young ones. In any case, best of luck to her. I know that one of the others up for Maureen is someone who was in a previous leg of the tour as Mark’s mom and a cover for Maureen. She has not decided if she really wants to return to touring or not. Whomever is cast will have big shoes to fill because the most recent Maureen was one of the best ever cast in the role and a huge fan favorite! All fingers and toes crossed and tons of best wishes for all these kids. :)

Lynn, I was just borrowing a famous line from the show, and given that we have more cows in Vermont than people, was sending mooooooooooing wishes from my neck of the woods to yours  ! I continue to cheer and support the many young adults and families I have met on CC, and yours is one of them. As you know, I’ve shared resources for your D, have known you on CC a long while going through the admissions/audition process with my own D in the same cycle, and have met you. So, it is fun following all the success of talented kids like yours. By the way, I recall your D having a lovely figure! I wish her the best and think it is great she got this far on this audition up to this point. Let us know how things go. All the best. :)

Wow- One of our own up for a big part like that! That is such exciting news. Best wishes to everyone!

Thanks everyone! Fingers/toes/eyes crossed!!!

lynnm, congrats to your daughter. This is SO exciting! Please keep all of your CC friends posted on what transpires. Your D’s career is clearly moooo-ving in a positive direction! (Sorry! Painful, I know, but I could not resist.):)

Fingers cross and beaming out good thoughts----Amazing news!

Thanks everyone! Who knows what will hapen, but it sure is good to be seen by Tellsey Casting, no matter what.

lynnm, Congrats to your daughter!!! What a rollercoaster ride this is. Great to hear her news.

Two current BW students were just cast in the tour. Actually, one of them used to post on this forum.

BWMT, I know that one of the BW kids has been cast as Gordon. Care to share what the other role is?

Mimi Understudy, but she’s not taking it cause she wants to finish school

Is the one cast as Gordon from CT, by any chance?

No, he’s from Ohio, rossji.

he is also Mark and Rodger understudy.

The ensemble members on the tour, in addition to the swings, almost always cover more than one track. The actors who play Gordon and Steve (if a Caucasian actor is cast) usually are covers for Mark and Roger.

How do you kids know about the auditions? Does your school let you know…auditions nearby…good grapevines?
