<p>My hypothesis is that the ones they are absolutely sure about (either an obvious acceptance or rejection) get sent out first, and the ones in the middle take some more time to review so they get released later. That could be wrong, but it makes sense.</p>
<p>There probably is something to the regional delays. I'm from the New England area and I applied on Oct 30th and just heard back within the last 24 hours.</p>
<p>i dont think they will release decisions on black friday because if they just released them yesterday then they wont have very many new decisions to release. I would be very happy if they did release decisions on friday but im not counting on it.</p>
<p>what i meant was that some regions of the u.s. were experiencing delays in decisions at umich. like nj, people who applied early oct./late sept. were hearing back just recently. </p>

<p>My application was totally received/processed 9/17 and I just got my decision yesterday. I wouldn't flip out just yet. There's still another month for decisions to be released.</p>
