<p>The writing scores come about 2 weeks after the multiple choice score</p>
<p>^ I’ve tested four times and never have they come out in more than a week at MOST… Usually it’s been anywhere from 2-5 days… But with the holidays who knows…</p>

<p>Yeah I would like to know as well. I really need to know my scores soon, because ACT does not send the scores to colleges until the writing score comes. Grrr</p>
<p>also waiting. don’t worry too much about the writing score. unless you get a 2 or something close to that, it basically means nothing. I don’t even think there is a school that lists any averages regarding the writing/english score of accepted applicants and I don’t really think they care. The key is the composite # - that is what they use for admissions, along with everything else like gpa, etc… The composite score is what every major school looks at if you submit the ACT. You can also let a school know that your score report is not yet available and should be mailed to them in the next few weeks.</p>
<p>For the oct. 09 test my writing score was posted about a week after the composite.
I agree it is not a big factor (if at all) with the admission process anywhere.</p>

<p>The writing portion of the ACT is probably the most messed up one. It is not consistent at all. For example, I wrote my first ACT writing section in an AP English style format and got a 10. The second I wrote how an 8th grader would (actually how I used to have to write in 8th grade) and still got a 10.</p>
<p>p.s. follow up on writing score not that important…
SOME nationally ranked schools like Caltech or U. Chicago don’t require the ACT writing.
