<p>I think they don't come out until this summer, a few weeks before the common app stuff. I mean, they're still accepting essay questions from the admitted students right now.</p>

i can't wait to see them though!!! i love, love, love uchicago essay prompts. i might even write one just for fun...
i really enjoyed writing the road essay this year. it's actually probably one of the best things i've ever written. thanks u of c for the great inspiration!!!</p>
<p>I know! I really think they're so interesting and thought provoking. Little things like that are things that make me like the university even more!!!</p>
<p>Next year's essay topics:</p>
<p>1) "Klaatu barada nikto," repeats amiable alien Klaatu in the 1951 science fiction classic The Day The Earth Stood Still. Discuss.</p>

when i was younger, i memorized a few hundred digits of pi to impress this boy i had a crush on....</p>

<p>oh, and to people already thinking about writing essays, definitely get a head start over the summer. I wrote a ton of possible essays over the summer, and when it came down to finishing a couple of other essays, I ended up re-reading what I written over the summer and adapting them for other schools. I hadn't been that impressed with them when I wrote them, but I absolutely loved them when I came back to them several months later.</p>

i hope the admissions people would be all over me too ;)</p>
<p>One thing I've learned from the Chicago essay questions ... if you think that your essay is very good ... there will always be someone with an essay that's 2,000,000x better. </p>
<p>The best way to write an essay is to write something from your heart, because on then will the essay sound genuine and personal. But there will never be a perfect essay...</p>
