emsibdn- where did u see the t60? the lenovo website says that the t60s have a fingerprint reader as an automatic feature. i cant believe ours dont...it sucks

the website says the the t series have an option of a fingerprint reader.
i donno if the T60 has it or not!!

I saw the new T60 at department administrative assistant's office. I guess Wake just ordered a mildly stripped down version. I was shocked as well. But nope, nothing on the right of the little mouse area. I was really looking forward to logging into websites with lightning speed, etc. Oh veal.

It's going to take a lot of time to get used to our USB ports being on the opposite side of the computer. Other than that and the wireless switch (what does the wireless switch do?) it looks like it's pretty much exactly like the R51's that we've got.

Yeah, it's dissapointing. Not a quantum leap like I was expecting (R->T). The wireless switch--I think--is if you're connected by ethernet and want to use wireless, you just move the switch? Not really sure. That's all I can think of.

Yah, that's all it is. When you want to go wireless, you slide the switch into the "on" position. I would gladly trade that for a fingerprint reader.
