Thanks for the reply. Not as familiar with my anatomy but know that my daughter’s fiancé said that Achilles are a difficult recovery because of blood flow to the area. Hence slower healing time.
Appreciate the response

I frankly found the Rams’ useless field goal to cover the spread shocking. But I guess I’m naive:
That is a correct statement… Lol. Just being anal here. I actually repair these… Lol…
Maybe he thought that the point differential was the first tiebreaker like in the other kind of football (soccer), rather than a very low rarely used tiebreaker in the NFL?
McVay explained his decision today to kick a FG.
Wouldn’t he have tried for the touchdown first and then an onside kick? I guess he can fuzz this enough to take the gambling element out of it.
If faced with a poor 4th down situation, but within FG range, coaches will opt to kick the FG first, then do the onside kick or stop the other team on their series, depending on the amount of time, and then get the TD.
They need both a FG and TD. Doesn’t matter what order. That’s the theory anyway.
So the Cowboys look good with an 8-3 record and the highest positive point differential (+162) in the NFL…
But is it a mirage, when that point differential is based on blowouts of the Giants (3-8) twice, Jets (4-7), Patriots (2-8), Rams (4-6), Panthers (1-9), and Commanders (4-8), and they have played only two teams with winning records (Eagles and 49ers) and lost to both?
Their next five games are against teams with winning records (Seahawks, Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, and Lions).
Can’t wait to find out! Go, 'Boys!
Jalen Hurts is that guy. For sure.
Some overachievers and underachievers in term of wins relative to point differential:
Team | W | L | Point diff |
---|---|---|---|
Steelers | 7 | 4 | -23 |
Jaguars | 8 | 3 | +29 |
Lions | 8 | 3 | +36 |
Eagles | 10 | 1 | +64 |
Bills | 6 | 6 | +101 |
Chargers | 4 | 7 | +11 |
Interesting page on which teams have rest advantages and disadvantages in the schedule:
Interesting analysis.
The extra rest hasn’t helped the Jets at all. LOL
And the Chiefs, Niners and Eagles are doing just fine
Note that two of the 49ers’ three losses were against teams that had a bye week rest advantage.
Flexing the Patriots-Chiefs game from a Monday to a Sunday is really a middle-finger to the fans:
–some folks travel for games, take out hotel rooms, etc
–some may have changed work plans to attend
–there are police/public safety plans that get thrown into the air
Not the same at all as changing a game from 1PM to 4:30, or vice versa, on the same day.
Really bad precedent.
