My school's NHS doesn't do much (i.e. no Community Service). Is it okay that I put NHS as an honor and award rather than an EC?

Sure. Put it wherever you feel it fits.

I wouldn't even put it at all, if I wasn't the president of NHS or something with that caliber. That is the reason why I didn't join NHS in my school. It's a waste of time.

I would suggest being wise and put something meaningful, not something you don't do anything in.

NHS can only be a plus. I don't understand why you didn't join^^.

Well I am secretary so I want to put it but I am only listing it with the other honors and awards. It's not really an EC, well in my school anyway.

We don't do anything in NHS in our school. You just attend a 1 hour meeting every 1-2 weeks. I notice applications allow you to list a limited amount of EC's and stuff like that. So I'd rather put some of my Math Team awards I've received throughout HS, since I am majoring in mathematics/statistics.
