NHS importance

<p>NHS wouldn't be looked at as important for most of these top schools because most students would have it...or something closely resembling it. However, effective leadership roles in NHS could be very impressive. Especially if you're the national president for something.</p>

<p>for top-tiers, membership in NHS is as important as being on the "honor roll" -- basically it's not important per se. But like frutiaspice said, if it's a vehicle for significant leadership roles, then yes. Membership alone doesn't mean much. My HS chapter didn't invite/forgot about me -- so I was never a member. I was the only one to get admitted to one of the HYP colleges.</p>
