I was elected co-president of NHS today at school. Should I inform the schools I already applied to?

I don't know, but congratulations.

Unless you have no other ECs I would say no... not to downplay it but it really isn't that big of a deal when you look at the big picture. Regardless of whether you're going to be accepted or rejected, one more EC leadership won't really help.

Heck, I forgot to put down that I was in NHS on two of my applications... lets hope that my ideas are correct.

Good luck and congrats!

meh, so wat.
after i applied, i b/c the president of relief council, the chess dictator(for chess club) and Computer club president.
don't mention those things!!! they'll think you are unprepared. if you have a passion. y didn't you do it earlier?
i didn't do mine and that's my reason, oh and also, my friends who got into great schools advised me.
anyway, that's my op9inion, good luck and congrats

I had planned to run earlier, but my school didn't have elections until today

Send it! The might add it to your file or they might throw it away. It can only help you.

it wno't hurt to send it.

You should send it.

i'd send it. and congrat !

Of course, how would you send it?

in an entirely updated resume, or just a letter, or what?

I had to send a letter telling them by National Merit Scholar's Award I meant commended student (my school got it all wrong and I got no paperwork). I also added that I became a nationally approved Eagle Scout and that I became president of the school's NHS chapter. Thanks guys.

Tell your counselor to include it in his or her mid-year report. Don't send updates about every little achievement.
