Our 15 year old daughter had a great experience with this language immersion program last summer. We highly recommend it. 4 weeks in Granada, Nicaragua, homestay, morning language classes, afternoon volunteer work, and group sight-seeing and field trips on the weekends. She gained a lot of self-confidence, improved her language skills, and made friends. The program was well-managed and Nicaragua has an interesting history and culture. The person who runs the program, Ilba, a native of Nicaragua, can be contacted at nica@terracom.net.

Hi my D#2 is 15. I am searching a summer immersion Spanish program for her. "Spanish through Leadership" seems a really well run program. The only issue is safety. When you researched it, is there any issue or concerns that the parent need to be aware of?

My daughter just found this program and is interested -- Cat0709 -- did your daughter go -- feedback?

Hi, my daughter attended this program last summer and had a fantastic time. Her spanish improved greatly. She felt very safe and enjoyed volunteering in the elementary school. She made good friends that she still keeps up with. She is going back this year
