Nice, neat format! Be a pal and chance a fella at competitive schools.

I will be applying to....

UChicago (EA) - I have contacted the XC coach. My absolute top choice.
Stanford (RD) - My second favorite.
Princeton (RD) -Third.
Johns Hopkins (RD) - Fourth. Also contacted the XC coach.
Yale (RD) - Fifth Favorite. Admittingly, I'm only applying to Yale because my dad wants me to (he got accepted but never attended due to money)
University of Minnesota - Safety School

And I might apply to Harvard (RD), I'm not sure yet.

Chances, anyone? =) Listed are my achievements SO FAR through the end of my Junior year- I hope to nab some more awards and such come senior year. For example, each activity will have an extra year of participation, I anticipate state for XC, some other major awards for my sports, etc. I will retake the SAT I in October to hopefully boost my math to an 800. Thanks in advance! (I will not continue sports into college unless I go to UChicago or Johns Hopkins)

[li] Essays (Include Subjects):
I have alreay started on all of them. My common app essay is very strange (I made my own topic), but hopefully it pays off! It displays my quirky personality pretty swell!
[/li]

[] Teacher Recommendation #1: Chem teacher/CIS Anatomy Teacher/XC and Track Coach - should be very good! He has known me since I was a wee lad and I have even taken care of his pets at his house before.
Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: Thanks to all who help a fella out! This took me quite a while to type out =p Something that would be immensely helpful to me is if you could list things I could do to improve, or list my strengths and weaknesses! Thanks again!

Bump. 10 char

You may want more safety’s and matches…if you get rejected from all those schools will you be happy at UMinn? Also, even if you do get accepted, like your dad, you may not be able to afford them…but you have a chance at the schools, but it’s always a crapshoot.

While you will certainly be a competitive candidate at all of those schools, I’m going to agree with Rolando and say that you should apply to more safeties since admissions at any of these schools is a crapshoot.

Chanced ya before, but… I think you have a great chance at all, don’t waste your time retaking the sat, work those essays that’s what will get you on the ‘good’ (accepted) pile.
