Is Nightingale-Bamford a competetive school for applicants?

yes. not as much as brearley or chapin or spence, but it’s not a cake-walk getting in. their acceptance rate is just over 30%.

Never heard of it.

its a NYC all-girls prep school
As dive alive said its not a bad school but as competitive as Brearley, Chapin, or Spence

I can’t argue with stats in favour of Brearley, Chapin and Spence, but this is a very strong school, which may be a better fit than the other three for some people. And I’ve known girls who have gone on to Harvard from N-B ( just to give an example ). I’ve also known some who did not make it there, so it’s not exactly easy. There is a great atmosphere at the school, and the young ladies are impressively mature on the average. As a freshman, you’ll make friends quickly - the entire 9th grade packs up and travels to London for a week in the fall, for some serious bonding. And the teachers are very strong, especially in the humanities - so if you are an advanced student, you’ll be a “big fish in a small pond” and can get a great education.

thanks for the help also are there a lot of snobby kids there or is that just a stereotype?

stereotype. there are kids like that (snobs) at every school, but that’s not the norm… i know some girls at NB and they’re really sweet.

PS: whatever you hear about that show, NYC prep… haha, ignore it all. that girl doesn’t even go to NB anymore.
