nih vs. dartmouth research internship

Im interested in both of these programs, and I could lean either way.

NIH has 20% acceptance rate, but colleges probably dont know that...
The dartmouth one I just personally arranged w/ a professor...

which one woud look better on my college app??

If the Dartmouth internship is a done deal, I would go with that. However, either would be fantastic. Which internship you take is not going to make or break your college admissions chances at any school.

Both opportunities are research internships, and I do not think colleges will look at them too differently. Perhaps you should look into where each one could lead. What really matters is what you make of an internship, not how smart your PI happens to be.

To be honest with you, those are two fine choices. Just pick whichever one you get first, and do not look back.

I would go Dartmouth if is is a gig you can carry along for several semesters, get incorporated into the lab, and publish.

I would go NIH if they are both just summer stint.

These assume research is in your future. If you are just looking for which gives better credentials, then I have no input.
