niversity of California Schools Stereotypes!

Let's stereotype the schools according to whatever they are.

Berkeley
Davis - Cow town
Irvine
Los Angeles
Merced -
Riverside
San Diego
San Francisco
Santa Barbara - Party School
Santa Cruz
T0N1CH1 is online now

Santa Cruz - Hippie School

I heard that Berkeley was a hippy school.

Apparently that's changed in the past like 5 years though...? Or do I have the wrong Berkeley?

City of Berkeley is hippie, the University is to the left, but there is a strong contingent of Republicans there. UCSC is the real hippie school of the system.

Merced- n00b

... university of chinese immigrants

Berkley is the most liberal of all liberal schools

Santa Cruz is where the stoners go

Santa Barbara- U of Casual S(e)x & Beer

San Francisco is not a UC...

Hmm... yes it is.

They're focused on the health sciences at the graduate level, but it is certainly a UC and is among the very best at what they do.

www.ucsf.edu

I've visited the campuses of Berkeley, LA, San Diego and Irvine all in March, April and May of this year and I found the students at Berkeley as very attractive and very beautiful. Well, that's probably because I am Asian, and I'm more attracted to Asians, and since there are so many Asians in Berkeley, I felt I was surrounded by the most beautiful people on earth. Berkeley rocks! I Love Berkeley! And the fact that Berkeley students are extremely smart peeps, that's even more turn on!

Irvine - boring. also chock full of asians...correlation? eh...

btw, i'm asian. (i also find my kind very boring...) i've spent the day at Irvine and know a generous number of people going there, and one of my best friend's girlfriends goes there (she's also my good friend from high school). nothing that i've heard so far so has done anything to change my perception of the school as boring and undiverse.

They are schools that tend to attract CA residents because they have a steadfast belief that their higher education system is the best?! ;)

eh..is santa cruz really a hippie school? i mean come on now, my friend goes there, and he's not a hippie now. what do you mean by hippie then if "60s" hippie is not what you mean...

UCSC ftw http://youtube.com/watch?v=cHFRw9CoGFA

just like icierair said.

"Berkley is the most liberal of all liberal schools

Santa Cruz is where the stoners go"

i have a number of friends who went there...and my sister went there. none of them hippies in the common perception of the word. but of course not all of the people at UCSC are hippies, not everyone will fit a stereotype. but the school definitely leans pretty far left, and the vibe is generally "chill," which hints to a bit of "hippiness." and yes, of those friends who went, many were stoners.

University of Caucasian Isolation
University of Caucasians Living amongst Asians

UCSB - U Can Study Buzzed

UCLA has the most Asians in the entire UC system.

I live like a half hour away from Santa Cruz...

Besides having a lot of stoners, some valiant UCSC students take pride in streaking around campus on the first rainfall of the school year. It's tradition!
