Hello! I am interested in attending Caldwell College. I am eligible for their Presidential Scholarship, which rewards $20,000 to full tuition, and another leadership scholarship. I would like to be a resident student, and was wondering if NJ TAG (I am estimated to be eligible for $11958, the maximum) and Pell Grant (Also estimated to be the maximum, $5550) would be able to contribute to room/board costs. Thank you!

It’s kinda late to become a resident when you applying for financial aid.
See [Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)](http://www.hesaa.org/Pages/TuitionAidGrant.aspx)

I think he meant that he wants to live on campus.

The Pell is an entitlement grant and is not reduced by other aid or scholarships. So if tuition and fees are covered, yes you can use it for room and board. I don’t know anything about TAG.

So the question is if OP can use some of Caldwell scholarships for room / board.

Just to clarify, the scholarships from the school cover up to tuition. As stated earlier, I am eligible for the maximum NJ TAG (New Jersey Tuition Assistance Grant) and the maximum Pell Grant. My question is if I can use the NJ TAG award and Pell Grant toward on campus room and board after the scholarships cover the tuition.

See my last post. NJ TAG - no. Pell - yes. See http://ifap.ed.gov/sfahandbooks/attachments/0304Vol3Ch4.pdf

OP, you should contact Caldwell if you can use some of Caldwell scholarships for room / board.
