Quick specific question:
So I got selected for 2500 NM scholarship. If I accept it, will I lose the Alabama award?
I would hate to shoot myself in the foot by accepting the 2500 only to not be able to get the Alabama package.
No you wont lose the package from Alabama. Worst case scenario is UA subtracts 2500 from the stipend, but I’m not sure if they do that with the 2500 NM awards.
I called UA and they said that they just subtract that from the $3500 stipend. So for that first year UA gives you $1000 and National Merit people give you $2500. So ends up the same in the end.
@collegework thats interesting because they removed that bit from the UA NMF page as far as I was able to see.
