I believe in you, Px. You have a lot of adult (and kid) fans here on CC who admire your posts and know that you will go on to do good and rewarding things. I have no doubt that it is the loss of these schools, but that doesn’t lessen the sting. Those close to you, sharing pancakes and time, will help you to push on. Hugs.

Anyone else NOT heard from NMH? We have no email, nothing on the website. Very distressing since DD didn’t get in anywhere else.

Thanks @Charger78. Hugs and pancakes. Looks like I’m moving onto the college forums. '

@jahphotogal i made the mistake of logging onto the wrong thing on the website. You can log into the checklist or the online application. The checklist has the decision letter. The online application does not.

PX, I am pretty sure I logged into the right place: I clicked on ‘decision letter’ and got this:
Decisions will be posted on March 10 @ 9:00am

We regret if you are unable to view your admission decision online at this time and apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact your admission counselor, at 413-498-3227 to find out about your decision. A letter with your admission decision has also been mailed to you. Thank you for applying to Northfield Mount Hermon.

WHY???

@jahphotogal oh boy. In that case I have no idea. I could only assume that maybe you’re an international applicant and it’s delayed. No one is answering the phone right?

No, we’re in the US, New England. No one answering the phone and no reply to my email.

@jahphotogal the letter will arrive on Monday which is probably around the same time they will answer your email Wishing you the best of luck!

@jahphotogal Did you apply for financial aid by any chance?

@jah: Are you applying for FA? If so, I have a wild guess - could it be a WL due to FA reason? NMH does that sometimes. I hope it’s not but be prepared how you’d respond to a situation like that just in case. Good luck!

We have exactly the same message as @jahphotogal has on the website.
I got a call and was told basically that DC would be admitted if we give up FA request.

^^There! (10 char)

@Patronyork Yes, It went very well thankyou!! you know, this is how you learn to hate ice cream (that’s the only thing I’ll eat for the next 2 days)

@@jahphotogal I’m internationall and got it at 12:10 Or something via my checklis, you should check it again, good luck! , the same message appeared to me a couple times until I refreshed the page like, 8t times? :p

@Alleybox Congrats!!

Hi everyone. This is my first post on CC!

My son was accepted to NMH but in the post, which we read online, but no mention of FA was mentioned. Does anyone have some insight into this?

We got the same exact message. I was accepted to NMH without FA, but could chose to be put on a waiting list for it

We didnt get an option to be put on a wait list. How was that communicated to you?

Our admissions counselor called my mom and told her. It seemed pretty strange to me

Told her what?

It is my understanding that NMH will call you if you need FA and there is a waiting list for admitted applicants who need FA. My son’s best friend received the same letter as nikdangles and payn4ward and was told to call admissions first thing in the morning to discuss with your admissions advisor. Good luck!

Thank you! I already called today but the office is classed. Yes, will call first thing in the morning tomorrow.

Turns out we’re in the same situation: accepted if we give up FA, wait list otherwise. We got a very nice email explaining.
