NMH, Masters or Stevenson

Hi everyone,
About a week ago I was fortunate enough to be accepted into 3 great schools. I am having a tough time deciding between the three. I have toured all three campuses but I won’t be able to revisit the schools and I was wondering if someone could help provide more information about these schools, specifically Stevenson.

I believe Stevenson has a lot of day students. That might affect the culture and community if you are a boarder. Same with Masters, which also will feel more NY.

I don’t know anything about you or your preferences, but I would pick NMH.

Have you visited NMH? I really enjoyed my campus visit, everyone seemed super happy at the school!

Every time Masters is discussed, I think of Catherine Zeta Jones… if she’s 47 ( which she has claimed to be for over a decade now… ) , I’m 35. I want someone to go and give me their appraisal because this has gotten out of hand.

My vote is for NMH. Not only is it a really fine school with super nice people…Yesterday- right before hitting the highway home with K2 for college spring break a jeep in front of us with a NMH sticker paid for our coffee at a DD drive thru.

That’s enough for me, but go on revisits and listen to what your heart tells you. Good luck!!

If you are a cyclist, few things are better in life than having 17-Mile Drive pass right by your front lawn. In order of outdoor activities: Stevenson, NMH, Masters.

Stevenson. Quality of life is important.

NMH stands out to me on that list simply because it is the only 9-12 school. If that’s important to you…
I’ve found in schools that have middle/elementary grades as well, decisions are made for the good of the school, but certain grades (in your case, high school) might not see any of the benefits.

One of the biggest things that worries me about Masters and Stevenson is that they have a significant day student population. Could someone speak to the quality of boarding life at both of these schools? Dorms? Dining Hall food? Are the boarding students domestic or international?

I live in California and I have visited Stevenson and also got accepted. Although I am not going, I did experience a lot while I was there. A lot of their students are international, not a majority but there’s plenty. These lower tier, no offense, prep schools attract a lot of international, mainly Asian, scholars. Dorms are chill, nothing extravagant. They have an amazing learning environment though because everyone is lively and seemingly friendly. It seems like a pretty cool place to stay. I can’t vouch for the day student population influence. I’m not too sure if it changes anything. However, I think more than half the school is still boarding so it shouldnt be too much of an influence.

^ thanks a lot for that
