no A/C=ok?

ok. i've sent my apps for the exploration, but my choices were kind of regualted by the fact that some dorms have an a/c. i noe that its tough over the summer, but is it ok in the winter? are there heaters in the room?

also, anyone had experience with the world religions exploration?

bump...anyone???

Yes, the rooms are heated in the winter. They're not QUITE barbarians. ;)

Bring a fan for the hot weeks.

A lot of schools don't have AC, I went to school in Upstate New York, and it was burning up until October. Just go to Lowes and purchase a blower (not a fan - blowers are more powerful than plain fans, plus they're great for drowning out unwanted noise in dorms), and it's exactly like having Air Conditioning at only 30 bucks.

Living in the city without a/c is hell for several weeks at the beginning and the end of the school year. Don't let anyone tell you that fans are as good as a/c. It's just not true.

So I'm assuming that having a bunch of people in your dorm during a hot week would just be impossible with all the body heat.

Exactly. That and the fact that many of the windows don't open very far.

No a/c was not a problem for me. It MIGHT be a bit uncomfortable for the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks. Bring a small fan and you should be fine.
