No AP classes till senior year..

Our new principal got a new idea for our class schedule, so we used to have four classes in one semester(each is 5 credits) , and now we have a whole year around schedule. He was saying that this schedule makes students become a better test taker, but everyone thinks it's stupid. I was planning to take the honest classes for pre-cal, chemistry and physics in the first semester, so i can take AP course for the same subject in second semester in my junior year. and it won't work any more. He messed up everything, even everyone complained a lot; he is not going to do anything.

So does that look bad on my college application, i know the gpa won't be satisfied, and what can i do for my junior year? i really want to be good!

I will be very thankful and appreciated for ur advices!

If you take the most challenging courses that are available for you at your school, it shouldn’t hurt. In fact, if your GC is good, one of the things that s/he will write in the rec letter is “Wangfz1 took the most challenging courses available at this school”, or words to that effect.

But the GC will do the same thing for everyone. I asked top 10 seniors in my school, they saying that the admission officers want to see u have some challenge course like AP on ur application. if u don’t have high gpa like 3.9+, or challenge courses, u won’t have any chance to get into top college like cornell?
