No Clue Where I Can Get Into!!!!!

It looks like I will most likely be transferring from the city school I am currently at, because they do not have the major that I am most interested in, Industrial Engineering. I will be applying as a sophomore to schools but I do not know how my high school stats will affect me.

I got a 3.5 GPA and a 1340 math+verbal on the SAT.

So far I have completed 2 college courses (3.8 GPA):

Micro Economics 101: A
Chem 101: A-

I am enrolled for:
Honors Calc I
Physics I
Foundations of Engineering I
Physics Lab

If I maintain a similar GPA as indicated by the 2 classes I have taken what types of schools can I realistically get into.

I was thinking:
George Tech
Virginia Tech
Ohio State (in state)

But would I have chances for Ivy league schools like Cornell, Upenn or Michigan? I usually wouldn't ask this sort of question but I honestly have no clue what my chances would be and if it would be worth apply.

Your status depends on how many credits you’ll have completed, so you’ll have to check those out individually.

Big public state schools are generally easier to transfer into, even if you are out of state.

Cornell is supposed to be pretty transfer-friendly. Upenn will be very, very hard (not that Cornell won’t, but it isn’t astronomically impossible).

Thanks for the response. I think Cornell would be the only Ivy I’d probably apply to if I was to even try it. I just wasn’t sure with a 3.5 from high school if I would even have a chance at “elite” schools, especially after just 1 year.

Bump. Anyone else know anything more about Cornell? how are the transfer rates for Engineering? I feel like there is something misleading about the stats generally seen.
