No decision yet.... Anything to be concerned about?

I submitted my application about 2 weeks before the early action deadline and am still in evaluation, although many others at my school (I’m in-state) who applied much later have already been accepted. All the items on the application status page say complete, but another student at my school also had all items say “complete”, only to find out later that they truly were not. Should I be concerned? I know the decisions may not officially be made until as late as mid-January, but many students have already been accepted Would it be appropriate to contact the admissions office to confirm the status of my application?

There’s never any hurt in calling to make sure everything’s there. I called frequently just to make sure my additional rec letters were received (I sent 3). I would call and ask!

They guarantee a decision by mid January is it? I understand that you’re probably anxious but it’s probably normal. I’d just wait for a bit as the decisions are rolling.

@texas2ohio @illinoisresident Thanks for your input!

It depends on whether or not you replied EA or RD. EA applicants have been getting admittance and its rolling admission so they start like beginning of December and will guarantee you a decision by mid-January. However, if you are RD you might have to wait a while. So no not really anything to be concerned about, it just means they haven’t gotten to your Application yet

@banani Thanks. I applied EA, just so you know
