<p>you have lots of other short answers. You do need an additional essay for the above areas.</p>
<p>Potential Brown bio major here! As far as I’ve seen (and I already submitted my app, so let’s hope I’m right), above poster is correct. You only need to worry about essays for those specific fields, not biology.</p>
<p>My hunch is that - and I could be totally off base here - schools are asking for essays about those specific subjects because people think it might be easier to get in as a STEM major. Penn, Princeton, etc. did the same thing. Just my two cents.</p>
