one of the schools i was planning on applying to is indiana university and their website sort of confused me. they have like seven different schools, like iu bloomington, iupui indianapolis...etc. so, i went intot he iupui website and tried to apply but they don't have the fall 2012 option, nor do they have any essays (I thought all schools had essays?). so i'm just really confused... HELP?

Very few schools have essays. Most will accept/reject based on test scores and transcript.

Are you hoping to go to IU-Bloomington? IUPUI is in Indianapolis. They are two different schools, although affiliated.

i’m interested in iupui, not bloomington.
what is it like there in indianapolis?

IUPUI was much more of a commuter school, though it has been building a lot of campus apartments and suites and doubling their automatic merit aid to bring in Honors Colleges. The school is actually a joint collaboration between IU and Purdue and you earn a degree from either school. For instance, if you are in business, your degree comes from IU. If you major in Chemistry, your degree is from Purdue. The school offers excellent internship opportunities, and they have great healthcare programs.
The feel is very different from IU Bloomington-not a lot of frat parties, strong emphasis on community involvement, still a lot of commuter students. A lot of kids are checking out the Honors Scholarships, since the quality of professors are still excellent and there are more opportunities for undergraduate research.

Neither IU Bloomington or IUPUI require an essay.
