I feel like a moron now for not submitting an essay. I know there isn't any cut-offs for the merit-based scholarships, but my application all and all seemed to fall short of those of usual Rutgers scholarship recipients. However, I now see on the Rutgers website that "while the essay is not required, all students may benefit from submitting the essay." I really hope my chances of getting into any of the above schools at Rutgers isn't hurt by my not submitting an essay.

... So what are my chances? Responses would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Woo! Bergen County! haha =)

Now, on to your stats. I say you have a darn good chance in all of those schools (although, I’m not familiar with the admissions with the Newark Business school, but your stats seem acceptable for consideration). You’ll get into at least the liberal arts and sciences school.

The essay is mostly used for scholarship consideration. So, don’t feel bad if you didn’t submit it. The essay does not affect admissions. Nor does ECs. It’s mostly numbers based. Good luck!

Say bye bye to the scholarship… but I am almost 100% sure you will get into all your choice colleges as long as you’re not too late to apply. O.o Englewood Represent O.o

Considering your financial situation (you state you are lower-middle class): though you will not get a scholarship because of not submitting the essay, you will still probably get some help financially

Englewood, you say rezkull? Interesting. For the sake of privacy, I’ll just state that I’m nearby – it starts with a “T”. ;)

well =P I’ve already taken a step ahead of you shroom. I don’t live in englewood either… just nearby… I’m thinking teaneck…naw… i’d go with tenafly =P
