In nearly every thread or blogging website I visit, Pepperdine is described as an extremely dry campus. If my idea of fun is partying and drinking and maybe a random hook up or two (Pepperdine is described also as very conservative), could Pepperdine still be the place for me?

you answerred your own question

no I’m just saying that those are the opinions of most people that it’s a conservative and dry campus. I still would like to know however if there’s a fraction of the student body thats a bit more liberal and enjoys a good party.

Every place has a party hardy faction…you just need to know the right people.

Visit and see

There is. They go to Hollywood, apartments of students that live off campus and to one particular party house in Malibu that the cops bust every night. Or they’re very careful in their rooms.

However, if they are caught they are put on probation — No scholarships, no leadership positions, no study abroad.

I am at the opposite end of the spectrum- I should have gone to a more conservative University.

I don’t drink, I don’t sleep with people, and I don’t party. A conservative campus would have been much more beneficial to my lifestyle.

And by the way, you answered your own question.

mabe i should clear this up, is there a considerablle number of students who aren’t conservative and who love to party?

anyonee?anyone at all?

Probably not as people go there knowing it’s a dry campus. There will be some, but not a “considerablle number”.

What is it that attracts you to Pepperdine? Figure that out, then look for schools with similar attributes that also offer a bigger party scene.
