No! I got a c on my report card.

Some teachers grade harder than others. Some teachers aren’t entirely fair (which is, after all, a subjective term). But unless your teacher is prejudiced or expects 4 hours of homework a night from you every single night, it’s not really unfair.

You earn your grades. Yeah, it sucks. If I had a C, I’d complain too, but then I’d get my as.s to work. -You earn your grades.- Did you not see this coming? Chances are, you’ve been monitering your test, project, and homework grades. If you didn’t come in for tutoring or work harder, then you did something wrong, not your teacher. Sometimes teachers catch you by surprise–I had the same problem with my Civics teacher. But Mr. D isn’t really unfair; he just expects people to take his class seriously. I do well because I take his class seriously. IB Art, however, is not looking so hot for me because I get terribly frustrating with it and sometimes don’t take it seriously.

I don’t want to come off like I’m not sorry. I am. But I only know you through the Internet, so I can’t give you a hug or a cupcake. Go make a cup of hot chocolate and get yourself to work.

I had a teacher in high school who only gave two As in 10 years as a teacher. But I’m from Europe, so it’s not the same.

^Yeah, my Civics teacher now, while not as extreme, usually gives 0-3 A’s a year. But not because he doesn’t want us to get A’s–because he wants us to do A work.

wow, heaven forbid you ever have a REAL problem

CEO, shut up, and calm down. Who cares? It’s ONE C it happens…it’s not going to ruin your enitre chance of getting into a prestigious school…

So did I :frowning: I can sympathize with you CEO…it was in Honors Alg 2!!

These posts are win.

Im just curious about this…im not going to pass any judge on this topic but i was wondering about this.
when you say it was given not deserved what do you mean

how did you do on the tests you have had in the class?
because if you get a grade that is significantly lower than all of your test grades you could definitely appeal that grade to the teacher.
IIf you really feel like it is not right then just go talk to your teacher. im sure the he/she will sit down with you and go over what brought you down.

a few of my teachers “give” out grades arbitrarily. i got one and he got my grade wrong every quarter… pretty pathetic… but that sucks a C. it’s only school though. enjoy high school, senior year for that matter haha
